このコンテンツについて
So first off, just this week, Melania took center stage at a major artificial intelligence event. On Thursday, she addressed educators and students during something called Zoom Ahead: AI for Tomorrow's Leaders, which was hosted by Zoom and their CEO Eric Yuan. Here's where it gets interesting though. Melania wasn't just cheerleading AI. She gave what I'd call a pretty balanced take on the whole thing. She told the kids to use AI to unlock their imagination and creativity, but and this is the big but, she made it crystal clear that they should never surrender their thinking to it. She literally said "never surrender your thinking to AI." She emphasized that while artificial intelligence can generate images and information, only humans can generate meaning and purpose. Pretty profound stuff when you think about it.
During this same webinar, Melania reminded everyone that curiosity has been the driving force behind every great achievement in history. She talked about how the world's greatest minds, the writers, the architects, the scientists, the painters, they all had endless curiosity about human nature. She encouraged listeners to be what she called stubbornly curious, to think outside the box, and question everything. She even noted that in this new AI era, the most powerful skill is knowing what to ask, why it matters, and how to think beyond the first answer.
Now, this AI focus isn't new for Melania. She's been making it a real cornerstone of her work as First Lady. Back in August, she announced the Presidential Artificial Intelligence Challenge with actual prize money to spur new projects from K through twelve students and educators. She called it the first step in preparing the next generation with a base understanding of this important technology.
Beyond AI, Melania has also been championing online safety. Last May, she championed something called the Take It Down Act, which was signed into law. That legislation targets nonconsensual sexually explicit images and AI generated deepfakes. The Federal Trade Commission enforces it and requires technology platforms to promptly remove those images once they're reported.
And just to round out what's been happening, there's also a Melania Trump documentary in the works that's set to hit U.S. theaters on January thirtieth, so that's coming up really soon.
Melania really seems to be zeroing in on education, innovation, and protecting people online. She's creating quite the legacy as First Lady focusing on how the next generation engages with technology.
