 HARVEST (3): Anointing for Harvest Bible Text: Psalm 126:5–6 | John 1:1–3,11 | John 4:34 | Acts 10:38 | 2 Peter 3:9 | Hebrews 10:7 | Matthew 6:10–11, 33 | Proverbs 11:30; 10:5; Matthew 9:37 In this third installment of the HARVEST series, we look further into a profound question: What does The Word, Jesus Christ, eat? The answer is both simple and weighty: The food of Jesus is the will of the Father. As believers, we are not only called to eat the Word to live the life of God, we are also called to eat what the Word eats. And what Jesus consumes is the harvest of souls. Key Revelations in This Teaching: - John 4:34 reveals Jesus’ appetite: “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me…” If we are not doing the will of the Father, we are not eating the food of Jesus. - Clean vs. unclean food: Not every spiritual activity is the will of God. When we prioritize association over vision, or lock ourselves in church buildings while ignoring the lost, we are feeding on unclean things. - The Church is not an institution but a personality, the Bride of Christ. We must live as the Body, not as a brand. - The will of the Father is urgent and clear: “That none should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Soul-winning is not optional, it is the unmistakable will of God for every believer. - We are not philanthropists, we are anointed for harvest. Acts of kindness without the gospel do not secure eternal futures. The anointing is not for charity, it is for salvation. - Long-suffering is for souls, not stuff. Jesus endured the Cross for the joy of the harvest. We too must endure for the sake of the lost. - The answer to “Thy will be done…” is in our hands and feet. The gospel is our sickle. The harvest is ready. We must go. - Believers don’t harvest, labourers do. Jesus is calling for labourers, not spectators. The anointing for harvest is for those who move. This episode is a clarion call to the Church: Eat what Jesus eats. Do what Jesus does. Go where Jesus sends. The harvest is not a program, it is the will of the Father.
