In this episode, we read Isaiah chapters 29–30, where the Lord confronts hollow worship, spiritual blindness, and misplaced trust among His people. Isaiah warns Jerusalem of coming judgment while exposing the danger of honoring God with words while hearts remain far from Him. The people are rebuked for relying on human plans and foreign alliances—especially Egypt—instead of seeking the Lord’s guidance.
Yet woven into these strong warnings are beautiful promises of grace and restoration. God declares that the deaf will hear, the blind will see, and the humble will rejoice in Him. Isaiah emphasizes that true repentance, quiet trust, and reliance on the Lord bring strength and salvation. These chapters call us to examine our hearts, abandon self-reliance, and return to God as our source of help, truth, and peace.
