About the book: This is a fictional story. Its protagonist is Kailash, a young bandit chieftain from the Chambal region. He is in love with Parvati, the daughter of another dacoit chieftain. Kailash along with his gang kidnaps some people including the groom from a marriage procession bus going from Gwalior to Morena and takes them captive and ransom is demanded.
The bandits do not know that among the kidnapped persons is also a police officer. He escapes from the clutches of the bandits and runs away.
He returns with the police team. Meanwhile, something happens to Kailash that he releases all the kidnapped people without ransom. Not only this, he hands himself over to the police.
