30年前、スーパーヴィランたちが勝利した。レッド･スカルはアベンジャーズやX-MENをはじめとするスーパーヒーローをほぼ全滅させた後、アメリカ合衆国を支配する。それ以来、心に傷を負ったウルヴァリン（大塚明夫）はひとり生き残った罪悪感と、仲間のX-MENやミュータントの生徒たちを守れなかった自己嫌悪から自分を見失い辺りを彷徨う。

30年間の投獄の後ドクター･ドゥーム（子安武人）はついに自由の身となり、ヴィランが勝利したＶデーで自分を裏切った昔の仲間たちへの復讐を企てる。….

30年前、世界中のヴィランが一斉蜂起しヒーローたちが全員死んだ。主なヒーローはみんな死んでしまったのだ。アベンジャーズでただ一人生き残ったホークアイ（鳥海浩輔）は現在、サーカス団の一員で、人生最悪の日を再現したショーを日々観客に披露している。彼は無愛想で打ちひしがれ視力を失っているが、ヒーローでありたい、仲間の仇を討ちたいという情熱を今も心に抱いている。そして彼は、今にも自分がすべきことを成し遂げようとしている。それは最愛の仲間たちに死をもたらした者をすべて殺すことだ。

世界が破滅したあとの未来を描く、マーベルズ･ウェイストランダーズ、スターロード。ピーター･クイル（古田新太）とロケット(多田野曜平)は歳をとり、少しお腹が出て動きも鈍く、ガーディアンズ･オブ･ギャラクシーだった栄光の日々に比べ怒りっぽくなっている。スーパー･ヴィランたちが世界を掌握してから30年後の地球に墜落した彼らは、そこが以前とはまるで違う世界であることをすぐに理解するのだった。

ヴィランたちが勝利した日（Vデー）から約30年後、ヘレン･ブラック（斉藤由貴）はかつてマンハッタンのミッドタウンと呼ばれていた地区にある161階建ての集合住宅「オナー」の一室に入居する。シールドが保有し管理する「オナー」はまさに、Vデー以降ニューヨーク市を飲み込んだ暗黒世界の富と不平等の象徴だ。メディア王バージュ家をはじめとする富裕層の家族が「デカドムス」と呼ばれるオナーの最高層の10階部分の豪華なペントハウスを占領している。ヘレン･ブラックの部屋は質素な低層階「ハンドレッド･ブロック」にある。
