In Part One, Thommo sits down with Marko, a former professional water polo player from Serbia who packed up his life and moved to Australia — with next to no research and a whole lot of guts.

Marko opens up about what life was really like growing up in Serbia — from getting the odd smack from teachers at school (which was still a thing back then), to growing up without screens or social media. It was the good old way: outside all day, playing basketball, hanging with mates, and always on the move.

They also chat about how Marko found his way into the world of professional water polo, and what it was like trading the courts and pools of Serbia for the open skies of Australia.
