In this episode of The Connection Compass, I’m joined by Rafaela Nunes, the founder of Thread Up, a private therapy practice in Manchester dedicated to supporting creative individuals through mental health and emotional challenges.

Rafaela has a unique way of blending her love for creativity, connection, and compassionate guidance, and today we dive into everything that lights her up.

  • Bringing in the Light: Visibility, Loss, and Living with Courage with Sarah Stephens
    2025/11/19

In this episode of The Connection Compass, I’m joined by Sarah Stephen’s, visibility strategist, PR and marketing specialist, and founder of The Be Seen Method and Tree Communications

With a career spanning the travel, tourism, hospitality and leisure industries, Sarah has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, helping others to step into their own light and be seen.

But Sarah’s story also carries deep courage and compassion. After losing her eldest daughter Violet at just fifteen months old and later her son Arthur, Sarah became an advocate for life after child loss, using her voice to challenge taboo and to honour grief in all its forms.

We talk about the experiences that shaped her expertise: from early opportunities that built her confidence, to the impact of Covid on her freelance work and her healing. Sarah opens up about high-functioning grief, prejudice after loss, and finding ways to keep showing up , even when life feels impossibly heavy.

We also explore the awakening power of perimenopause, the re-emergence of intuitive connection, and her mission to help others be visible through The Global Visibility Club.

This is a conversation about resilience, honesty, and what it really means to keep bringing in the light , even through the darkest chapters.

  • Celebrating a Year of Podcasting with Ashley Mondor
    2025/10/15

This week’s episode is a special one, marking almost a year since The Connection Compass began. To celebrate, I invited Heart Healing Coach Ashley Mondor to turn the tables and interview me.

Together we explore what it’s been like to dream of having a podcast and finally bring it to life, how the process has helped me heal, rebuild confidence, and return to my most authentic self. We talk about working through the trauma of the pandemic, rediscovering my voice, and how meeting people through the podcast has reminded me of the power of connection.

I share reflections on taking an unconventional path, learning to make friends with fear, and building strong roots beneath the surface — trusting flow, intuition, and the slow work of legacy. We also explore the deeper healing that comes from honouring our lineage, belonging to the cycles of nature, and cultivating meaning in this current season of life
