Three decades on, Paul Elliott is still considered one of the best centre backs to grace Scottish football.

Joining Kris Boyd, Steven Naismith and Chris Sutton for The Warm-Up's latest big interview, the defender talks us through his career, starting from his early days in England with Charlton, Luton and Aston Villa.

A career cut short following a horrific tackle at Chelsea, Elliott also covers his time in prime Serie A, going head-to-head with van Basten, Maradona, and other legendary stars.

Now working as an equality campaigner within the game and as Charlton Athletic’s vice chairman, he also talks extensively about his two years at Celtic under Billy McNeill, where he was named Scotland’s Player of the Year and took on a Rangers side which was asserting its dominance over the Scottish game.
