It's time to reframe how we think about JOY. Instead of treating your joy as the reward at the end or the cherry on top, what if you started to treat joy as what it really is: your most powerful tool in creating a beautiful, magnetic, and energized life that you can actually sustain –without burning out or sacrificing your relationships or your health. The best part? You can learn how to intentionally cultivate and unlock your joy even in challenging times. Inside of JOY CLASS, we go on a weekly journey to explore the practices, the rituals and the habits that lead to more authentic and easy joy. The result? Your energy will soar, your creativity and confidence will blossom, your relationships (with others & yourself) will deepen, your health will improve and your overall quality of life will elevate. Your host, Caroline Zwickson, M.A. is a certified health coach & joy mentor with a background in Counseling Psychology, a published author, as well as an artist and mom of three. She has mentored hundreds of people seeking and finding joy in their daily lives. And on this podcast, she will help you, too. • 31: Embracing All Of Ourselves - The Good, The Bad, The Beautiful and The Shameful with Michelle Garside
    2025/05/22

"On the other side of raw, authentic honesty and vulnerability is joy." - Michelle Garside

In a world that's always pushing us to do more and be more, it has become increasingly difficult to foster real connections with people who embrace who we truly are. But the truth is, joy and fulfillment don't come from just ticking off achievements. They come from the people we share life with and the spaces where we feel safe to be ourselves.

When we stop pretending, real belonging starts. Sitting with the tough stuff, being open about what we're going through, doesn't just help us grow. It gives other people permission to show up fully. That's why community and authenticity matter so much right now.

Today, I'm excited to be joined by my friend and the creator of Soul Camp, Michelle Garside. Michelle is passionate about creating spaces where we can show up as our full selves, without fear of being judged, because she's seen that when we have that, it changes everything. It brings us together, reminds us we're not alone, and gives us the kind of support that makes deep healing possible.

In this conversation, Michelle and I talk about the multifaceted nature of joy, the importance of embracing all aspects of yourself, recognizing the value of the darker parts of your life experience, the role of community in healing, navigating the awkwardness of making friends as adults, learning to embrace your true self, and more.

  • 30: Realistic Time-Management To Decrease Stress and Increase Calm with Kelly Nolan
    2024/01/16

"Time management is so personal. People should listen to their preferences and tendencies and have a system that molds to them in their life." - Kelly Nolan

At its core, time management is a tool to help you to be more present in your life.

One of the biggest hurdles that stops us from taking care of ourselves is the feeling that there's just not enough time in the day. We want to make time for ourselves or to create healthier habits, but when it comes down to it, it feels like there's always something more urgent to do.

The good news is you're not alone. While many of us feel a lot of shame around never getting through our to-do lists, the reality is that even the most accomplished women are not immune to these feelings of being overwhelmed and constantly feeling like they're running behind. Time management isn't a skill that comes naturally to most of us. You need a strategy and system that will help you show up in the ways you want to.

Today, I'm excited to share my interview with Kelly Nolan, where we talk about how to shift how we organize ourselves and manage our time to create more space to create the lives we want without guilt or shame.

In this conversation, Kelly and I discuss why so many people are struggling with feeling overwhelmed, where you can start if you're feeling like you just can't catch your breath, a step-by-step plan to get a better handle on your time, how you can find space for joy and pleasure in your life, and more.

  • 29: Healthy Habits That Last Even When Your Life Is Really Full with Lindsey Kaszuba
    2024/01/09

"I show up for the things that feel good, and the things that don't, I stop doing." - Lindsey Kaszuba

So many of us are weighed down by all the things we "should" be doing for our health. Just because a habit is good for us doesn't mean it will come easily, and even habits helping us feel better can sometimes be challenging to stick to. Add to that the tons of often-conflicting health advice floating around on the internet, and you have a recipe for overwhelm.

That's when our wellness routines become a source of stress instead of rejuvenation and joy. Today, I'm excited to be joined by Health & Habit Coach Lindsey Kaszuba to talk about how we can sustainably incorporate habits that are right for us. Finding your non-negotiable habits is a personal journey. Lindsey is a big advocate for building awareness and excellent intuition around caring for yourself.

In this conversation, Lindsey and I discuss the role of intuition in self-care, how mindfulness and meditation have positively impacted her life, teaching healthy habits to your children, overcoming societal pressures about what you should and should not be doing, tuning into what your body needs at any given time, and more. This is a conversation about coming home to yourself and knowing how to take care of who you are in this particular season of your life.
