Some souls never find rest.
Eldwin’s decision to bring a soul back from the island proved to be a costly mistake. Innocent people are dying, and the blame falls on his shoulders. Where magic and steel have been the answer before, now they are useless to stop the reign of terror.
But there is hope.
If Eldwin can find the hidden fortress of the Assembly, he just might get the help he needs. With more questions than answers, Eldwin’s time is running out.

Fitting conclusion to this engaging fantasy
‘Wings of Terror’ is the fifth book in the ‘Dragon Riders of Osnen’ series. The decision to bring back the soul of Maren’s dragon, Demris, from the Island of Lost Souls is having tragic consequences. It is necessary for the soul to have a body to inhabit and although Demris’ body still exists as Maren has cast a preserving spell on it, it is a long way away, back at the Citadel. Unfortunately, the soul of Demris is trying to find a body to inhabit now … and anyone that his soul tries to use is unable to survive. Seeking to find a suitable host, his soul moves rapidly from one person to another and leaves a trail of death and terror behind. Eldwin and Maren must now undertake a quest to locate the hidden fortress of the Assembly to seek assistance from its dragon members to find a safe way to contain Demris’ soul until it can be reunited with his own dragon body and put an end to the loss of innocent lives.
I have really enjoyed Richard Fierce’s ‘Dragon Riders of Osnen’ series of books and Andrew McDermott’s narration always makes for great listening. The fifth instalment brings a fitting conclusion to this engaging fantasy but, since Eldwin is now beholden to the Assembly and they may call on him in the future, it is possible that there may be further adventures.
My only niggle is that I felt all the books were too short and I would have preferred the division of the series to have been executed differently with part one being the combination of books one, two and three and then part two being the combination of books four and five.
These books were amazing,I loved the story!
It is written very well and I can’t wait for the next book!
