Inclining One's Heart To God Always

Short yet meaningful book for the Christian about how to get closer to God. Excellent narrator, likely a Christian himself, I think, who knew the importance of different sections, and when to emphasize them with his voice.

Basically about inclining one's heart to God at all times. Maybe another way of saying it is intimacy with God. It is not about doctrinal knowledge so much as communing with Him as much as possible. Lawrence believed that this is the heart of the Christian life. At least, among many others, Lawrence obeyed Paul's advice to "make your calling and election sure." He also proved the scripture which says, "draw near to God and He will draw near to you" is true. Perhaps there are a couple flaws in Lawrence's doctrine but it is certainly worth listening to.

simple applicable guidance

There are some people who have learned well how to ve a student of Jesus, Brother Lawrence is one of these people.

For new Christians and older Christians struggling with discipleship and spiritual transformation, this book offers practical advice.

I read this book based on a recommendation vy Dallas Willard in one of his speeches online and I'm glad I did. To all who enjoyed this book, I would also recommend everything by Dallas Willard and the sermons of Charles Finney.
