Take Me
what the heck!!!! what is going on with that ending? 😳 I can't believe it. omg 😲 😱 😲 😱 well I can't wait for the next book . I need to know what the heck is going on. omg I'm going to be piss if he did what he did to her. that is so wrong in so many ways. 😕 😞 😔. poor girl.

Wow!!!
Another fantastic dark romance book by Ms. Reiss. There are many twists and turns throughout with lies upon lies and secrets kept from loved ones not as a means of protecting, but controlling to preserve their way of life. Women are commodities. Sarah finds out her life is a fantasy when she arrives in Darrio's world. The cliffhanger had me yelling at Ms. Reiss in my head. I must find out what happens in the next book. Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton are paired perfectly in bringing this book to life.

A good start to a new trilogy!
Dario was so cruel in the beginning I didn’t think he had any nice in him but he came through by the end. And poor Sarah was caught in a war not of her making but she was strong enough to survive and give as good as she gets. That cliffhanger at the end though sure made me side-eye Dario big time. This was a good start to a new trilogy.
Erin Mallon’s narration was good and always enjoyable to hear. As far as I’m concerned, she could’ve narrated this whole book and I would be fine with it. Teddy Hamilton has a pleasant voice but I just can’t get into his style of narration.

CD Reiss did it again!!!
This book…. This story… is excellent!! What just happened??? I was so caught up in this story that I didn’t realize it was so close to the end!! I’m glad book 2 is coming soon!! I need to know what happens!
CD Reiss is an always read author for me. Her books always reach into my emotions and hold on and never let go.
Sarah is such and innocent and knows nothing of the real world! Dario kidnaps her on her wedding day.. a wedding to unite families…. He takes her to ruin her … but can he? You need this book! I will be telling everyone I know who reads or listens to books to get this book!!

Another 5 Star Story Worth Waiting For
I adore the way CD Reiss weaves a story. Always brilliant, fascinating and compelling. Expertly performed by Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton. I can't wait for Book 2.

Take me, Manhattan Mafia #1 by CD Reiss
Narration by Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton.
This series has three all-stars so I knew it was going to be an amazing start to the series and hearing it, it checks off so many boxes.
Mafia world ✅ virgin bride✅
Alpha badass✅ deception and questions ✅✅
Sarah is a Colloanian, on her way to her arranged marriage. One she’s been groomed for all her life but she’s taken on the way to the church.
There’s so much happening. Who can Sarah depend upon to survive all she’s been thrown into.
Dario is brutal at the start, the kind of alpha a-hole everyone loves to hate. But Sarah is resigned to accept her fate for now. Until she can escape back home.
Yet there is deception and twists that will have you questioning who is friend and who is foe.
There definitely heat between Sarah and Dario and he opens up somewhat to her, so she opens her eyes to the Collonians she swore would save her, only to be disillusioned by her family and with it she questions her life so far.
Just when she starts building trust in Dario. There’s a huge what the hell that happens with a cliffhanger that left me seeking the next book now!
I have missed hearing the talented Erin Mallon. She is amazing here. Bringing out the innocence of Sarah while showing us her resilience and strength as she tries to come to terms with the direction her life has taken. I really love her ease of switching characters from male to female with care for showing us each character so that we feel like we’re right there with them.
Teddy’s voice is also one that I love. He’s got the attitude and chalkiness of Dario hands down. I’m just not sure if I like Dario at this point but love when a character redeems themselves which I believe he will do in the future books.

Wow
This one looked intriguing and oh boy was I right that it was going to be good. There are so many twists and so many lies to unravel. Each time I thought I knew which way the book was going to go it changed and I just loved it so much. This was just a fantastic read and the narrators gave so much more depth to the story
