The night was a raucous one as I gulped down pint after pint like it was water. At about one in the morning, my head cloudy with drink and jet lag, I noticed a young woman sitting a couple of stools away from me. She was staring directly at me, her blue, bloodshot eyes full of curiosity and a shy smile playing across her lips. Much like myself, she was thick Scottish stock, with long, flowing auburn hair cascading down her shoulders. I returned her smile and then moved my seat so that we could lean against one another drunkenly and perhaps make plans to go up to my room. 

And after an hour of small talk and flirting, that was exactly what we did.
