批評家のレビュー

"This is a profound book, with deep and sweeping implications. It is engaging, fresh, easy to read, and packed with insights. I couldn’t recommend it more highly." (Stephen R. Covey, author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People)

"Extraordinary.... Five Stars." (Business Ethics)

"This is the most profound and practical business book I have ever read! Everyone I have recommended this book to has been challenged intellectually and also touched emotionally. It is a must-read that I will give to my kids to read before they begin their careers." (Tom A. DiDonato, Vice President, Human Resources, American Eagle Outfitters)

あらすじ・解説

Leadership and Self-Deception uses an entertaining story everyone can relate to about a man facing challenges at work and at home to expose the fascinating ways that we blind ourselves to our true motivations and unwittingly sabotage the effectiveness of our own efforts to achieve happiness and increase happiness. We trap ourselves in a “box” of endless self-justification. Most importantly, the book shows us the way out. Listeners will discover what millions already have learned - how to consistently tap into and act on their innate sense of what's right, dramatically improving all of their relationships.

This third edition includes new research about the self-deception gap in organizations and the keys to closing this gap. The authors offer guidance for how to assess the in-the-box and out-of-the-box mindsets in yourself and in your organization. It also includes a sample of Arbinger's latest bestseller, The Outward Mindset.

The book on Audible is incorrect

The book goes along correctly, until Chapter 16, then it is a totally different book, need narrator, then corrects itself for Chapter 17..... so you simply cannot listen to the whole book correctly. Support from Audible was less than stellar and doesn't seem to understand the issue.

Missing 1/3 of the book!

Not only is there an incorrect chapter in this recording as mentioned in a different review, this book is also missing the last four chapters as well as all of the very useful appendices. I went out and purchased the actual book after figuring out how much was missing. The book has 221 pages and this audiobook only takes you through page 143. Completely not worth the money and not accurate!

This recording is flawed

This recording ends at chapter 20, doesn't include the entire book. Fortunately there's another version on Audible.

I love the book but this one is broken

Can I get a refund or another down load. This is missing chapters and there is a part from another book in it.

This version ends before the end of the book. Get the 6 hour version.

Missing Chapters, Wonky Chapter 16

I've read this book twice and decided to give the audio version a listen. I love the content of this book and was excited to explore it in a different way. Bummer!!! Chapter 16 is a weird aberration with a completely different narrator and seems to be a duplicate of Chapter 15's material. So strange! I had to spend time going back and forth to try and figure out what I'd already heard and what might be new. Then, Chapter 20, what the heck? This ISN'T the end of the book, so why is it the end of the audio version? Audible? Any answers? I see that I'm not the first person to comment on this. When I chose this audiobook, I didn't bother with the reviews because I already knew that I loved the content. i listened to the two different narrators on the samples and chose from there. Unfortunate.

Causes Introspection

I thoroughly enjoyed the narration, which was aided by the book being written as a dialogue.

A great book on leadership which gives a metaphorical approach to self reflection and self improvement.
