このコンテンツについて
In this edition of Red Lodge Downtown, we explore the story of the Smith Mine Disaster of 1943—a historical tragedy that took place in Bearcreek, Montana, 8 miles east of Red Lodge, Montana. We spotlight a song written by Linda McKenzie titled “Goodbye Wives and Daughters” and the coming music video project which is a collaborative effort between Gone West Productions and the Carbon County Historical Society and Museum. The project highlights both the emotional power of remembrance and the ongoing work to restore the museum’s historic third floor. You will hear from Becky Van Horn, who works at the museum and serves as the Carbon County Historical Preservation Officer as well as from Cody Simms, owner and producer with Gone West Productions, and song writer Linda McKenzie.
